Ford is offering Grayson KY Motorcraft services to all who are in need of a specific auto part for their automobile. Our Motorcraft and Omnicraft™ Ford family brands offer premium auto part replacements and car/truck accessories. Omnicraft and Motorcraft brands have a line of the array of products, such as starters, alternators, filters, plugs, and much more. Omnicraft was the first brand to join Ford’s customer service division; it has been in business and providing quality products for over 40 years. Our Omnicraft services are available for Ford and non-Ford vehicles and offer competitive pricing. Our Motorcraft and Omnicraft products have been tested to ensure high performance and reliability.

Motorcraft Alternators

Alternators are meant to create the electric power needed for your car/truck to start. When you drive, your engine is running, and your alternator is what charges the battery.

The alternator is attached to the engine within your vehicle. They usually have a life span of 11 to 15 years. If your alternator fails, your car could possibly still run with the help of the battery; but it is short-lived.

Our Motorcraft alternators are completely new units. Motorcraft alternators feature a two-year warranty with unlimited mileage.

Our alternators have also been tested to ensure Ford’s stringent transportation guidelines on humidity, vibration, thermal power cycling, and much more.

If you put your key into the ignition and notice a red warning battery light on, this indicates that your charging system has weakened. It does always tie to a failing alternator.

It could be another defective issue. However, to find the direct problem, we advise you to visit your local Ford and allow our technicians to inspect your vehicle for the Grayson KY Motorcraft service.

Your battery supplies electric current to your alternator

When you notice how dim your headlights are, it could be the sign of a weak alternator and battery. Your battery could have a bad connection to the terminals.

Our Motorcraft technicians will test your charging system to see if any internal parts of your alternator are damaged. Our mechanics will also perform voltage tests by checking the battery voltage with the engine off and on.

When the engine is on, the voltage of the battery should increase. But if the engine is on and the battery voltage is not increasing, then our Ford technicians will know that your charging system is the problem.

Brakes with Grayson KY Motorcraft

Kentucky mandates Grayson and other cities that your brakes are in great working condition. With the exception of motorcycles, the driver’s law of Kentucky requires that your car/truck is crafted with functional brakes for you to control your vehicle, whether to stop or start it.

You should be able to properly break when driving 20 miles per hour while being 30 feet away within distance. Your car should essentially give you two ways to brake on at least two of your wheels.

Your vehicle must have brakes to be considered safe to drive on the road, among other drivers. If you don’t have any brakes, there is a higher chance of putting someone else’s life and their car in danger.

There are common issues with brakes, such as worn-out brake pads, ruined rotors, and misalignment issues. If you think your brake pads are worn-out, you can easily visit your local Ford and have our mechanics inspect your brakes and detect the problem that you’re having.

Check your Brakes with Ford

You can also check the severity of your brakes by you pressing down on your brakes with your foot. If you feel a vibrating noise up against your foot, then that is an indication that your brake pads need replacing.  With this vibration, there could be some uneven areas within the rotors of your brakes.

You might also hear some other noises that sound strange, like squealing or a dragging sound. The drag in your vehicle could simply be that you did not lift up the emergency brake.

If you are experiencing softness when pressing on the brake, this means that there is air in your brakes. The air in your brakes is what causes the brakes to feel less solidified.

If you continue to drive while you experience this level of softness, then this causes the brake to push to the floor when driving. It is not suggested to drive in that condition.

If you continue to drive in that condition, then it could cause the rotors to wear down even more because of the friction. You could also risk harming your vehicle and your life due to malfunctioning brakes, especially when on a highway.

Motorcraft Brake Vacuum Pump

The brake vacuum pumps are found within the braking system of your vehicle. It is found in many diesel engines. The vacuum pump gives the power to your brake booster to brake while on the road.

The brake vacuum pump is a key factor for the brake booster to do its job and make it easier for drivers to handle their vehicles in a safe manner.

There are some common failures that occur with your brake vacuum pump, such as a stiff brake pedal. When the brake pedal becomes stiff, it usually has to do with the brake booster.  When the brake booster malfunctions, it will require more effort from the driver to actually brake.

Another issue that can affect your vacuum pump is the power brakes, and when they start to function irregularly. The brake booster contains several internal parts that ultimately affect the power brakes, if not wired correctly.

If you think your brake vacuum pump and booster are damaged or malfunctioned, it is wise to visit your local Ford and have one of our technicians inspect your braking system.

Our Motorcraft brake pump has been tested to have a life span of at least ten years with approximately 150,000 mileage. Not to mention our brake vacuum pump was crafted with original Ford parts and machinery.
